Women's World Cup 2023.

What's ridiculous about asking a question?

The womens world cup has been a success, and quite entertaining, but let's not pretend they don't have a long way to go before they can give the boys a game.
To be fair, nobody is pretending "they can give the boys a game" - no more than people imagining Serena Williams might beat Rafael Nadal.

It's its own spectacle. That's how it can be enjoyed.

Spot on. Its like watching the American leagues , not a fan but take it as it is, a lower level.

🤷‍♂️
These women are at the top their game and are quite deservedly lauded for that . . but it's not even the same sport.
It bears little comparison to mens football.

IMO of course
It's currently nicer to watch in my opinion. Not quite so fast and furious, so more time for skill to show, and (until professional coaches stain it) not as cynical, divey and cheaty.

Having said that - I agree it's an entirely different game for those reasons. Those assuming Weigmann would excel as men's manager aren't taking that into account I think. Not saying she wouldn't be, just not sure she would get the best out of players in a much faster game.

Because it's idiotic. It's women's football. They don't need to be able to "give the boys a game" before they're valid in their own right.

What's this supposed to mean? Do you want a Hollywood acceptance speech like list from the chap?

I'm a massive advocate for women's football (I always tell my mates off when they're not).

they all deserve our support. Not just the ones who played for us pal
