You're not really comparing apples with apples though, are you?

A better question to ask would have been what if a female FA head had kissed one of those guys under the same circumstances?

I think we all know, rightly or wrongly, what would have happened. Nothing.
Well we haven't had millenia of women abusing their power over men, have we?

How endemic is the problem even with this quite visible hypocrisy from RFEF? The Rubiales replacement candidate? Pedro Rocha, Rubiales’ right hand man. Why would they spin it like a real change? Because Rubiales already fired all the other senior members of the RFEF except Rocha in advance - anticipating how to maintain control in worst case

It’s like this for too much in Spain

The Missus has zero interest in football, sport in general truth be told. She was aware the WC was on but wasn't following it.

She said to me today that the ongoing scandal of Kissgate has been more entertaining than the tournament itself.

I guess it's true about no such thing as bad publicity.

Rubiales should’ve been fired on the spot. I don’t understand this point about Rocha though. If your boss did something similar to Rubiales would you expect to be fired because you work for them?

This may be deeper (I’m no expert on the Spanish FA) but shouldn’t we look at an individual’s act as, well, an individual act?

Individuals are also prone to consolidating power when faced with the consequences of their actions when money & power involved. This dynamic is rampant in the US so you should be familiar with it

The story about the RFEF, Vilda, Rubiales and is very transparent within Spain. RFEF is deeply rooted in the systemic & fascist elements that remains in the country. The heads of the regional Spanish federations, many of whom were in the room clapping while Rubiales aggressively refused to resign, now call on him to resign

Stay tuned, Rubiales will 'resign' with Rocha in charge and will eventually be reinstated
