The Joy of Curry which was aired in 2003 stated that when the curry boom of the 70's and 80's hit London, Birmingham, and Bradford, it was mainly the Bangladeshi folks who were running the places.

Having been to India a few times myself for food/travel interests, I can assure you that your average curryhouse (although very tasty), is not much like food in India. Although I have never been to Bangladesh so cant comment if the food is like that. Its possible they do and just change the name to India places to fit the name of the Westernised Cuisine, (ie Bombay Aloo, Madras) or dont forget the Pakistan regions like Balti-stan.

You might be right, but I somehow doubt it. There are a vocal minority, for sure, who are dangerous, but the VAST amount of muslims, (in my experience anyway), have no truck with these lunatics. One way of looking at it is that two more have been sifted out, albeit in horrific circumstances.

BTW, your points about the muslim community being a bit closed off, I do agree with. But you could level that at pretty much any community, TBF.

Yep I agree. But they lived here in the first place. Islam is a desert religion. Name one islamic country where you would say would be a nice tolerant fair place to live. Just one. ONE.
