More 'extremist nut job' Muslims than Sikhs, though, aren't there? Obviously not all - or even anywhere close to a 'minority' go out killing people or support those who do, but I reckon more Muslims interpret the Qu'uran wrongly than Christians do the bible, say.

Maybe that is the case but that doesn't imply that Muslim's as a group of people are inherently worse than any other religion. It's certainly fair to say Muslim extremism gets more media attention than any other religious extremism.

That's not actually what he's doing at all, he's saying that those people do not represent Muslims as a whole. Just like how David Copeland doesn't represent how nationalists feel as a whole about people who aren't white and born in Britain.
