It was a fantastic sporting occasion, was a superb watch in a fantastic location.

I dont mind the athletics team etc gettig funding. But we've talked on here before about the unbalanced way that Lottery funding is handed to different sports. Athletics, cycling and rowing gets the bulk of it and though it's handed massive success in the 2000s and 2010s you have to wonder what they're doing still to get it. The cycle team is still competitive but at the Tokyo Games athletics and rowing got zero golds.
