Would be wonderful if there is a player with the bravery of Andy Flower or Henry Olanga at this world cup. I don't feel it is their obligation and wouldn't blame them for concentrating on the football, but it would be wonderful.

It’s not the players or managers fault the World Cup is in Qatar, it’s FIFA’s. If national associations cared so much, then they’d have boycotted Qatar a long, long time ago.
Instead, they allowed it to continue.
Qatar, had played a blinder. They’ve made promises they had no intention of keeping, and FIFA has unsurprisingly backed them all the way.
What a farce.

Kane made his point - and I am sure he didn't want to miss a game as a consequence. He backed down (regrettable) but he got plenty of publicity for the matter rather than a) do nothing in the first place b) quietly wear the armband. Sometimes you can't win these battles the way you might want to.
