I think history is on my side here.

They wont turn up against France. Flat track bullies who can see off Iran and Senegal.

The problem is that people believe the hype over the likes of Bellingham and Saka. They're competent and no more than that.

France have a clutch of players who will lead England a merry dance.

This is heading for a France v Brazil final IMO.

I dont believe any hype. And a Brazil France final is certainly a strong possibility. Obvs really. You were saying Spain would triumph tonight. They didnt. Thats football. As for history? For the record books, nothing more, nothing less.

Spain, Germany and Belgium are not top 8 sides this winter. 2 have won proper stuff, 1 is apparently the bestist side according to FIFA. But all tucked up in bed later in Europe.

Football eh? Bloody hell.

I think most people would have expected Spain to beat Morocco, tbf.

No idea. ?‍♂️

Bellingham is Bryan Robson-lite. Saka in the context of a World Cup is a bit of a 'so what' player...I was laughing at his statement the other day that "there's only one Mbappe and theres only one Saka"...I mean WTF?!

They made it so easy for Morocco. Even Landon is say way back in the 55th min, why aren't they trying to score, all this possession and not player is trying to make a run from the midfield.

They were trying to get it in the box as much as they could. If you have a load of yard dogs standing on their own 18 yard box for 120 minutes it's a bit difficult.

In a conversation, pre tournament, sure, But seeing the two teams this last 2 weeks? Was not in the least surprised. I dont think the group results would have been expected neither. Belgium and Germany sunk, Japan and someone else going through.

Basically, I think this England squad, for the last 4 or 6 years or so, has progressed. In so many ways. Will they beat France? Dunno. But if they lose, it wont be some hyper French team that demolishes them. If England beat them, unless some 20 minutes explosion occurs, again, it will be a pen. a Kane, maybe a Bellingham.
