Didn't they get some ridiculous refereeing decisions in their favour throughout?Wonder if it will be a crazy World Cup like 2002 in Japan/South Korea

Denmark will win as my Danish neighbour is banging my wife. End ofGood side are Denmark. I think if Eriksson had been fit they might have beat England in the sf
Can’t remember any of the Japan matches, but South Korea benefitted from some really dodgy decisionsDidn't they get some ridiculous refereeing decisions in their favour throughout?
Yeah vaguely remember laughing at some absurdityCan’t remember any of the Japan matches, but South Korea benefitted from some really dodgy decisions
I live in Berlin - and I'm writing them off."Dont write off the Germans" as no doubt you'll hear lots of pundits uttering during the tournement
.
That's way more the issue for me.I live in Berlin - and I'm writing them off.
Germany are winning nothing with a forward line of Timo Werner and Serge Gnabry, old man Müller behind them, and a back line that couldn't spell the word "defend". But Hansi Flick will have them competitive - and so they will fail all the way to the semi-finals.
People need to remember: good German sides win World Cups. Bad ones get to the final.
The only real disaster of a World Cup they have had was in Russia. Their bad is pretty much everyone else's excellent. They're building for the next World Cup - and their own Euro 2024.
Yes, but both are terrible finishers. That's why Müller is still sniffing around. That's way more the issue for me.
I think you're underestimating how competitive that forward lineup is. Especially if they can play on the break a little. Sane and Werner can really cause issues in space.
It's a 7 game tournament. Half the battle is it just being your day to have small chances go in.Yes, but both are terrible finishers. That's why Müller is still sniffing around.
KC I’m good with. The other two are stupid. How much do you think crap hotel rooms in SF will be going for? 2k/night?Well that's disappointing. Boston, Kansas City and San Francisco are all awful choices.
It's just not a convenient spot if you're traveling in. It's easy to get to Arrowhead by car I'd guess but if you're flying in you probably don't have a car. So that's why I'm out on it compared to Nashville, Denver and Baltimore.KC I’m good with. The other two are stupid. How much do you think crap hotel rooms in SF will be going for? 2k/night?
That’s fair. I just think from a cultural and support standpoint, KC is deserving. Obviously I’m biased, but I don’t understand the denver exclusion even though I expected it. Easy access to the stadium, the largest airport in the country, great night life, multi cultural city. Not sure what else they were looking for. It's just not a convenient spot if you're traveling in. "Boston" is just egregious. It's as much Providence with how far away Foxboro is.
I don't really agree with the premise that MLS support should be considered. It's the World Cup. You're going to sell tickets. Making it the best it can be for those attending and fair for the players (so honestly Mexico in June is pretty questionable but they were included in the bid) should be the priorities. That’s fair.
