Very interesting

Most of that seems feasible I think

I'm not sure Portugal will get that far or that Denmark can take Argentina, but I can see most of that happening
Yeah I'm not really confident on my picks TBH. Re Argentina people and media seem to have them among the favourites but to me when I see their squad on paper I don't find it convincing. But I'm not really an expert. And yeah Portugal are also not that convincing but if they win their group they seem to have a doable draw with either Belgium or Croatia in the QF which are both winnable, but likewise Belgium or Croatia could easily beat them too.

I've tried to ignore the WC so far, so I've only just registered that the last Premier League game(s) are on the 13th Nov. The world cup commences on the 20th.

That's a bit of a mad turnaround.
It’s crazy. I wonder if we’ll see a big drop in intensity/running among in the league games over the next two weeks especially in squads with loads of players on their national teams

I can imagine a few players heading to the WC will really not fancy the thought of midweek carabao cup ties next Tuesday. Could be some extremely weakened teams put out.

We should probably play our first 11 though. Most of our lads are about to have a 6 week winter break.

Interesting little line here in the Qatar preview

"
National anthem
As-Salam al-Amiri translates as Peace to the Emir and was adopted in 1996 after the accession to the throne of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. The lyrics speak of national pride, Qatar’s strength when it needs to show strength and peace when it should be peaceful. It was written by Skeikh Mubarak bin Sayf al-Thani and composed by Abdulaziz Nassir al-Ubaydan al-Fakru."

Things are now starting to make some sense...
