The thing about Group B is that it's so critical to win it. Doing that almost certainly dodges the Dutch, sets up a quarterfinal meeting with a depleted France and avoids the worst of the nastiness coming out of groups E and G until the final. That will be important after a group stage where everyone is a legitimate threat to advance, and where the games are likely to be extremely physical.
It's the kind of group where anything can happen. I don't think the United States is likely to do well, but a group of young players like that could suddenly catch fire. England probably should top the group, but Southgate only has to find a way to throw once to imperil their chances of advancing at all. Wales and Iran advancing sounds insane, but I've seen far stranger stuff over the years in athletics.

I can see Wales sneaking top spot in their group and I definitely think they can take Ecuador, so Quarters isn't out of the question
