Wales squad announced. No great surprises but seeing it in print makes clear that, you can make a decent forward line and defence, if all first choices are fit.

Midfield combinations are probably the weak spot, particularly, if as likely, Joe Allen doesn’t recover in time for the early games.

Wales' 26-man World Cup squad​

Goalkeepers: Wayne Hennessey (Nottingham Forest), Danny Ward (Leicester City), Adam Davies (Sheffield United).

Defenders: Ben Davies (Tottenham) Ben Cabango (Swansea City), Tom Lockyer (Luton Town), Joe Rodon (Rennes, on loan from Tottenham), Chris Mepham (Bournemouth), Ethan Ampadu (Spezia, on loan from Chelsea), Chris Gunter (AFC Wimbledon), Neco Williams (Nottingham Forest), Connor Roberts (Burnley).

Midfielders: Sorba Thomas (Huddersfield), Joe Allen (Swansea City), Matthew Smith (MK Dons), Dylan Levitt (Dundee Utd), Harry Wilson (Fulham), Joe Morrell (Portsmouth), Jonny Williams (Swindon Town), Aaron Ramsey (Nice), Rubin Colwill (Cardiff City).

Forwards: Gareth Bale (Los Angeles FC), Kieffer Moore (Bournemouth), Mark Harris (Cardiff City), Brennan Johnson (Nottingham Forest), Dan James (Fulham, on loan from Leeds).
 
White and Rashford set to be recalled apparently, which would be the right call on both IMO. Can't wait for the for the urine boiling later when the whole squad is announced.

Also this World Cup is going to probably be the worst in history anyway, so I don’t know why anyone’s even arsed.

Dont kid yourself. It will be watched by billions as per usual.

My point is that the western media are hypocrites in any case. We all know what Qatar is. If they really wanted to take a lead on this they should be running stories all year long of British businesses and the UK Government making deals with regimes like Qatar and Saudi - but they wont do that because it's a fast-track to getting sacked...football is the easy target for these cowards.

They can GTF.

Between Nov 20th and Decemebr 18th I, like billions of others, am settling in for a feast of football.

People are just so fuming now that they are going to find a reason to blow up. If the above 4 were included then they'd fume about whoever they were replacing being left out
