WORRIED?

Because 8th, 9th and 10th is not good enough for the money we've spent. We should have had 7th wrapped up last year. If we don't get it this year, Silva needs to go and we need to find someone able to deliver on the long term project to break into the top six.

It's not a long term project if you ditch it after 2 years, is it?

Thank you for your constructive addage.

Can we still call people Richard Head?

Sticks and stones knob...............................

Don't look match fit, got away with it last night, due to the difference in opposition. However, as we found out last Friday, it's going to cost.

Pretty confident we will get upto speed, just a matter of not falling off the top 6 too much, until we get there.

Look the difference between a great season last year and an average one was a bad 2 month run.

If we don't have a bad 2 month run and pick up points in the same period we will probably finish higher than last year. Silva proved he can get the team performing weekly so if he hits that then we have nothing to worry about

The clubs long term project is to break the top six. But, with respect, if you're not securing 7th and/or European Football after outspending most of Europe and the rest of the league for two seasons running then we appear to be well off course.

10 teams on 4 points after 3 games including spurs United and Chelsea

Everton fans- omg it's a crisis we should all panic , going down, Silva out etc

United have played Chelsea and Wolves (away)
Chelsea have played United (away) and Leicester
Spurs have played City (away).

We've played Palace, Watford and Villa.....

Yeah just conveniently exclude the fact that United lost at home to Palace and Spurs lost at home to Newcastle to suit your point

What are you talking about?!

Irrespective of their results, they have played top quality teams in and around the top six. And they've got 4 points from those fixtures.

We have played three teams who will finish in the bottom half of the league. And we only have 4 points to show for it.

Their 4 points has much more credibility than our 4 points because they've had the tougher fixtures.

So 0 points at home to Palace is more credible than 1 point away to Palace? Sounds about right o_O

The fact is that outside of the top 2, any team in the league can take points off any other. And our form against the top 6 at home was generally very good last season anyway. Just because we lost to Villa away doesn't mean we wont pick up any points against the teams that you mentioned

What about Watford, who have played Brighton, us and West Ham, two of which at home, and have collected 0 points from them? Are they essentially down in your strange head?

Football doesn't work the way you think it does. Last season we beat 3 of the top 6 at home. We also took 1 point off Newcastle over 2 games.

Well, we finished 8th with Sam Allardyce didn't we?

Sam Allardyce is a stain on the clubs history - he should never be the benchmark but if he was - Sam Allardyce's record at his league club prior Everton (Crystal Palace) was better than Marco Silva's at Watford (and Hull).

That's what I mean when I say we'd finish 7th-10th no matter who was in the dugout - the important thing is the bigger picture and whether Marco Silva is the man - that's on Marcel Brands isn't it?
Realistically tho, that team should've been 15th or 16th. We were very very lucky. While this team is clearly superior, never underestimate the effect a poor manager can have even on talented players.
