WORRIED?

What about Watford, who have played Brighton, us and West Ham, two of which at home, and have collected 0 points from them? Are they essentially down in your strange head?

Football doesn't work the way you think it does. Last season we beat 3 of the top 6 at home. We also took 1 point off Newcastle over 2 games.
And probably outplayed us and maybe West Ham.

It’s not a crisis it’s not a worry it’s not a we’re going down.

I don't think anyone is catastrophising and saying it's either a crisis or that we're going down, are they?

I think it's a concern though. A worry. We were poor for large parts last night against a League One side and as @GrandOldTeam said, we were only 10 minutes away from pens.

We've not particularly impressed in any game this season and against Villa we were dire. Of course, we're very capable of turning that form around and going on a run (hopefully starting against Wolves).

We've got to be picking up points in the early part of the season in these easier-to-win games as we approach Christmas as we've got a hell of a fixture list going into December.

Wolves are our main rivals for that 7th spot so it's the biggest game of the season so far, we really need to step it up.

We weren't tho. They scored 2 goals out of nothing and besides that we absolutely dominated the game. They put us under 0 pressure whatsoever

Wolves have played 3 and drawn 3, they need to step it up too.

So? No one is arsed that we outplayed Villa and Palace. They lost both and are bottom of the league, and their manager is getting sacked.
Because it means over the long run they'll win more. They play like that all season they'll be fine.

I'm not so sure Wolves are our main rivals, the Europa group phase could nearly be upon them and their squad isn't huge.

To my mind Leicester may be an equal threat, although the loss of the talismanic Harry Maguire at the back could mean some poor results early season, at least until they can learn how to best cope without him.

So 0 points at home to Palace is more credible than 1 point away to Palace? Sounds about right o_O

4 points from Chelsea, Wolves and Palace is better than 4 points from Palace, Watford and Villa, yes.
4 points from United, Leicester and Norwich is better than 4 points from Palace, Watford and Villa, yes.

Any team in the league can take points off any other, but it doesn't happen as frequently as you're making it out to be.

We have a run of 5 games in December where we play Leicester (a) Liverpool (a) Chelsea (h) United (a) and Arsenal (h)
We have a run of 5 games in January where we play Brighton (h), West Ham (a), Newcastle (h) Watford (a) and Palace (h)

I reckon, in my strange head, we'll take more points in the latter group of games. But there you go!

Agree with your point but there are 2 ways to look at it.

You could say playing well in 3 games and losing all 3 of them is not a good sign.

Same way teams are praised for winning when they don't play well. You could say if you dont play well youre lucky to win but its a quality to be able to win when not on top form

Both of the goals they scored were preventable, they weren't out of nothing. At least they weren't any more than Digne's or Sigs penalty was.

They fully deserved to be level going into the last 10 minutes of the game.

It’s 3 games in, last night 4. We will get better I’m pretty sure chill lad.

See no reason why we couldn’t win all of those tbh. They are not fixtures that scare me.
