Martinez that in the 15/16 year, that was worst season I can remember up until this one.

Game was finished and the whistle was being blown immediately after kick off. The referee said as much to Barkley. Just Bobby M insisted putting Gibson on anyway and so added an additional few seconds to the watch.

The rest is history.

In all my years going the game, this was (strangely) one of my favourite moments

There used to be a lad behind me in the Park End and he was an utter whopper - in this particular game he was banging on at the beginning that Besic should have started (let's remember the lad had never kicked a ball for us at this point), he spent half time moaning that Martinez should bring Besic on, he then spent a lot of the 2nd half moaning that the game was crying out for Besic - I actually remember word for word the line he used at one point - "I love you Roberto lad, but you've got this wrong, we need Besic on the pitch here" - when Besic came on he said as loudly as he possibly could without shouting - "FINALLY"

A moment or two later, that happened

I turned round to look at him and he stood up and left without a word ?

Speaking of Martinez.

Remember the day we were two nil up against Hammers….and a man down for most the game after Mirallas was sent off?

Instead of shoring things up near the end he took, I think Lennon, off and brought on Oumar, a striker.

We let three in during the last ten minutes or so ?

That was Niasse he brought on, we were 2 up with 10 men against West ham at home at goodison, he brought loveable Oumar on and we lost 3-2, even weirder he came on for a midfielder and we were playing with 2 upfront with 10 men

I think the Kone thing was that he left him on for way too long and he was blowing out his arse and it let the other team back in. Might have been Bournemouth away when we blew another 2-0 lead

Happened a lot with Bobbio in the dugout

Actually thinking about it didn’t he fail to control a ball which then went out for a throw in that they scored from or something?

Martinez showed an complete lack of game management throughout his career as a manager

Neil Adams at Wembley in the 1986 Charity Shield was another. Come on as sub against Liverpool but got subbed himself within minutes for behaving like the proverbial headless chicken and not following Howard Kendall's instructions.
