Curious to see the response given the current debate over Pickford's recent antics and his merits.

Sticking to those who were first team regulars for an extended period, Carlo Nash, Westerveld, Jan Mucha et al can do one.

Wow that's tough.

I think most will go for Wright and Simonsen because of their fees and expectations, and I can't argue that, but as someone who regularly watched Paul Gerrard and his utterly bizarre penchant for parrying what felt like every single shot at him right back at the feet of an opposing player, I'll go for him.

Quite a depressing list isn't it? Also part of the reason I left off the likes of Wessels and Mucha!

Gerard for me. I remember when he was finally left out/injured and Simonsen made his debut, Simo was given a rapturous reception simply for not being Paul Gerrard. Iirc we drew 0 - 0 with Chelsea in thatgame, and i remember thinking Simo might make it. Sadly, he didn't.
Mention must be made of some of Joel's antics too, including a dead rubber in the Europa League when he looked like a Sunday League outfield player forced into goal because nobody else would do it.

Simonsen or Wright.

Somehow Paul Gerrard gets away with it, he was an absolute knapp to concede a goal from 25-yards, which he should save about 4-5 times a year. That said he did put in one of the best GK performances I’ve seen by a blue, when we played Sunderland on MNF in 2000.

simonsen was just a mess. He came in, looked dead bright and we thought we had someone boss. But his positioning was bad, couldn’t command his box and always looked a box of nerves.
What do you say about Wright? Christ. Tuna is dangerous folks.
