He was well before Southall's time. He was a dreadful keeper though, another clear sign that Harry Catterick went haywire in the transfer market after signing Kendall....page 2 and I can’t see David Lawson mentioned.

True. Basically tells us one of the reasons why we have been mediocre for far too many years. Not the only reason I'll grant you, but, could you imagine being an Everton defender and looking around you at kick off time and seeing one of those jokers behind you. Some woeful goalkeepers on that list, more or less everyone except Martyn who was fantastic.
All the rest ( Howard aside) was number two.( Doggy metaphor).Everyone else was a no2
That's the spirit @TGW89 , name and shame. How anybody could possibly vote for Nigel? This tripehound is obviously a complete and utter barsteward. Let's run the cad out of town. I'll supply the pitchforks.Simonsen should have been given the 15th century catapult after his shambolic effort against Liverpool in 2003. I voted for him without hesitation, but what do you expect from a Tranmere reject?
I don't really get the hate for Gerrard, he was in the sticks for our last win at Mordor and did his best in 2000/01 when the defence just stopped giving one.
Wright was unlucky with injuries, and did reasonably well in 2002/03 despite that debut howler against Spurs. I don't hold him in any particular contempt.
By the way, the dirty nonce who voted for Martyn as the worst post-Southall goalie was 'Hariefc'..... how dare you, Kopite lurker
I will never ever forgive the mcallister free kick. Unbelievable. It’s Paul Gerrard. He is up there with some of the worst goalies I’ve ever seen full stop.
I'm with @Eggs on his one. Despite him being way before the World's Number One, I see no reason, nor shame, in putting the boot in when the opportunity arises....page 2 and I can’t see David Lawson mentioned.
Wow that's tough.
I think most will go for Wright and Simonsen because of their fees and expectations, and I can't argue that, but as someone who regularly watched Paul Gerrard and his utterly bizarre penchant for parrying what felt like every single shot at him right back at the feet of an opposing player, I'll go for him.
