Just looking at the defence:

Baines - not presently at his best, but an England international and a very good left-back
Stones - Chelsea think he is worth £50m, an England international
Jagielka - Solid, England international
Mori - Erratic, but a good footballer, Argentine international
Coleman - an excellent right-back

We're not talking about having Newcastle's back 4 here, we have international quality who have been so appalling managed by Martinez that they're doomed to concede several goals before a football is even kicked.

I think that assessment could be looked at very differently .

Baines - On the decline. Might not even be picked for the Euros. If he does, he is unlikely to play. Living off past glories.

Stones - Chelsea don't think he is worth £50 million. He has been dodgy this season and his value will drop dramatically if his form over the last 12 months continues.

Jagileka - On the decline. Past his best. Living off past glories.

Mori - Already overhyped. Might be decent but he still has a long way to go for him to be considered as good as some of our good centre back in recent years.. Lescott, Jags, Distin etc.

Coleman - A good right back. Still has time to overcome his regression under Martinez.

It's just not a very good defence. It needs a lot of improving.

He's done the complete opposite in my opinion. Just look at how many attempts we've conceded today. That defence is just horrific.

A highly talented team but chronically undermined by their bottling mentality and piss poor effort levels. Lots of them are an utter disgrace.

None of them deserve to stay at Everton except the goalkeeper.

Got some real gems in the squad which kept together would provide a fantastic platform for a class manager with money to spend to really build something.

There's some dross in there as well like but it's still easily the best squad we've had for as long as I can remember.

This team is better than this, but this is supposed to be one of the worst PL's ever quality wise, so you'd expect the players to be able to do better than this.
