This. Basically, it should not be used in any aspect of life where it is used against another person and limit or impact their freedoms.
 
…and had continual wars between north and south, wales and England, Scotland and the outer Hebrides etc etc etc ad infinitum. No I’d rather we didn’t……..

Er..the advances in science and architecture were superseded by the industrial revolution and the Bauhaus. In terms of diversity Islam still struggles with gender equality, so does western culture but not to the same degree. But in the end it is more to do with politics and power rather than religion so the basis of the post is deeply flawed. It assumes there is one Islamic view and that could not be more wrong.
