He'd be a fool not to IMO. At 21 yrs of age he has time on his hands if he believes he's destined for the biggest clubs in the world challanging for CL trophies and league trophies.

Truth is he's not ready to be leading the line for a Real Madrid etc...

Perfect deal for all involved. Hope rumours are true and let's get it over the line!
 

Win-Win for everyone if he comes here IMO.

- Chelsea get a decent fee for a player that has played a grand total of 10 games for them.
- Romelu comes to a Club that can develop him further as a player
- We get a striker that can potentially slot 20 a season and help us mount a Champions League challenge.
- If we dont break that Top 4 within a couple of years, Rom has still improved, can get that big money move to a Champions League Club
- Said CL Club give Everton a very decent profit, we reinvest and get someone else.

Win-Win.

It is true though. Money talks and we need it to push on from where we are. Not that it's been any different over the last god knows how many years.

Yeah the way I see it we'll just get left behind if we continue scrounging around for frees and loans especially when you see the ridiculous prices being spent on average players. We need to spend (sensibly) to really push for CL football and a player like lukaku doesn't become available to us often so I'm hoping that purchasing him will be the start. Really annoys me that clubs like the rs and spurs can just throw cash around year after year even if they finish 7th
 
but he could just join a champions league team now and get a bigger wage than we can pay him? Its not win win for him he would be making a sacrifice to come here

The thing we have in our favour is he likes it here and wants to play for the manager, hopefully that's enough

Could he though? He has literally no Champions League Club genuinely chasing him. The one that was strongly linked was Atletico and they chose to sign Mandzukic instead.
 
he has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, Juve...or he could stay at Chelsea, all in the champs league. He might not be first choice or get the love he would at Everton but that night not be his first requirement

I just cant see us buying him unless there is a player leaving.

Cant wait to just see him sign for anyone. Just so it can all be over and done with. Love it if its us, but as a few others have said we cant hold out forever. By the time he has finished his holiday down prestatyn he should know were he wants to be. If its not us we move on and go for our next target (nugent)
 

Ok lets say Liverpool are in for him, He's never picking us over them in a million years lads

They will pay him more and have CL football plus they finished second last season so can say they are PL challenges

I really hope its paper talk
