Clubs will be talking to all kinds of players that they don't eventually sign, just so they can have alternative options if their main targets don't come to fruition. Nothing unusual in us enquiring if Ba would be available, willing and affordable for a transfer if other things don't happen with other targets.

Sounds to me like RM has either money for both and other signings or more than likely he could only afford lukaku and no other deals or Ba for half the price and the rest for other signings in other positions needed. We know which one is the most likely scenario!

I'm hearing from something somebody that the Lukaku deal is done and we are getting him for 20M. So yes Lukaku is coming a whole 2 months before the transfer window closes (the everton way) and for less than what places like ATWNV and SLAND paid for some jarg English striker.
