Who says we haven't? Martinez hasn't made any public noises about him for a little while now, no sense in letting on to the other clubs we're in talks with that we're more desperate / have more money than they imagined.

Agreed but I'm not sure I want to pay 19m for a 25 year old although I really like Bony. Remy isn't exactly one for the next 4 years but might be a better option and I wouldn't want to risk 14m on a striker unproven in the premiership who is also 27.

What about Origi, is he definitely off to Liverpool, or even Torres on a loan and we can leave it to next season. Maybe even both.

One of many things Lukaku has that most 21 years old footballers don't is professionalism, he'd have let Martinez know his decision before this if it's absolute.
