Twitter changing everton back to chelsea means nothing at all for me,should have done it the 1st few weeks after the season ended,all this getting your hopes up because someone says they heard this and that about him signing on loan or a perm transfer- i never listen in the same way as i wont get downhearted with the other transfer bits about him going to another team,till its a proper done and dusted deal said by Everton-which can take a life time for them to say,i probably wont listen to half the stuff as most players seemed to have signed every single day for the last few weeks lol

I think one of the main factors that he won't sign is that we won't pay 20 plus million for one player, no matter what the rumour about that part being done states

Unless the club give him an ultimatum surely he'll hang out to the last minute he's on record stating he wants CL footy meaning EFC are "plan b".

Only if he's got the Everton bug and WANTS to will he sign before the transfer window closes. He clearly liked it here (I'm beginning to think the rumoured RS interest won't bear fruit because he's Evertonian now and simply won't have it) but the fella is in business mode and we can't offer what he wants.

I mentioned at the beginning of the week..maybe even last weekend that Friday things will get going.
The Juventus stuff is hearsay, as is the Liverpool stuff. My understanding is this is from Chelsea to attract further bids.
The only concrete offers are Evertons, Wolfsburg and Chelseas new contract offer. Wolfsburg are not confident though as his camp have intimated its the Premiership for Rom and its likely to be between a new deal or Everton. There is an issue between Rom and Chelsea though.

I think we will know by this time next week at the latest.
