Would you welcome Rooney back to Goodison?

He could have just stayed a few more seasons, at least tried to remain loyal and then just leave quietly.

Look at Torres, he still managed a good national career whilst playing for a boyhood clubside in a similar position to Everton.

He pissed all over every childhood Evertonians dream.

I'm not doubting his quality as a player, but as a human being, he's the lowest form of life in my opinion, therefore [Poor language removed] him.

To be honest I was disappointed when he left I thought the timing was bad and he had been poorly advised, and at that stage I might have accepted him back with a little bit of a reservation,But since then his antics towards the club with his praise for how Fergie had made him the player he is,made me think he was shitting on the staff at Goodison then he libels the manager in his book and just to show everyone what a complete tosser he is he kisses the badge, every other week we see players scoring against their old club without doing anything like it .Denis Law was badly treated by Man u at the end of hie career going back to City then as everyone knows he scored the goal to send them down the guy was gutted so imagine the same scenario Rooney sending us down he would do cartwheels and for this a lone I would never ever want him back.(n)

The fact that he blamed Moyes for leaving was an absolute disgrace. A poor attempt to win the Everton fans back and used Moyes as an excuse.

I'd have him back. Agree with Gaz and KJ in the points they made. Well except for the one about only getting on the bench for England coz he plays for Everton. Seem to remember Rooney playing his best football for England in Euro 04 when he was still an Everton player. Possibly being a bit pedantic there though as Kj was probably drawing up a general scenario for wanting to go to a bigger club not speaking of Rooney specifically. Just had to throw that in there though coz I still remember all the self styled experts saying he'd have to move from Everton to develop as a player. Something I don't think he's done much of if any. Still top drawer imo.

what would he have gained from this? bad shout, anyone with an ounce of common sense would leae Everton for Man Utd, regardless of whether you support them or not? When stubbs was at celtic, if he had offers from Everton and Man Utd, would you begrudge him snubbing us? I know i wouldnt.

The fact is though, he acted like a complete shitbag when he left.

Thats just it, nobody blames him for leaving, hell its Man Utd and hes won lots of trophys since he left. Its the whole once a blue always a blue, saying he wanted to stay and he was forced out, then the kissing the badge when he scored.

If he would have left and been straight with us from the start, it would be fine with me, but he acted like a complete tit and i wont ever forgive him. He could have been a legend for us, now he goes into the Barmby, Jeffers and Speed book for me.

To be fair the amount of abuse he and his family got when he left (bricking his family's hous etc) of course he's gonna act like a tit. He was 17-18 and his boyhood team's fans abuse him and his family, add the fact he's got a temper problem didnt help the way was/is.

The "once and blue always a blue" thing did hurt, but it wasnt his fault. All he wanted was to play for us and as a kid being a everton player is all he ever wanted. Then Manure pops up, offers to pay him 70,000 a week+ (and this is a working class kid living on an estate, short career, chance to make millions) at the highest level. Then they offer us £20-30mill for him. The club was in the [Poor language removed] -- See you later , Wayne nice knowing you. Business at the end of the day.

I dont like the way he conducts himself when we play them. Am I bitter over it, what could've been? Nope, not in todays climate where money talks. He acts like a [Poor language removed] because he gets [Poor language removed].

Would I want him back? Yeah, cos he's a class talent. Would he ever come back? Not in a million years.

End of.

So if you would have Rooney back, does that mean you'd have Barmby back to?

On the other hand Cal, you say you'd never have him back......

But you'd have Fernandes back with open arms. He's just as bad!! both [Poor language removed] on the club. The way you feel about Rooney an Barmby. I feel the same for that shithouse Fernendes!

Even thou, i hate Barmby more than any other footballer ever!

Cuunt!!

I'd have Rooney back because he's different class, he'd improve us greatly. Barmby is a different story all together he wouldn't.

On Fernandes, have you got any proof mate? We know [Poor language removed] all about what happened, it would be unfair to say he [Poor language removed] on the club without any proof. I've heard lots of different stories. Even Alan Irvine said the deal couldn't be done, he said Fernandes was keen to join.
