Depends what they are spending £2m on really. At the level they are at, and from their manifesto, actually building a proper training facility with a 4G might be enough to push them up. A lot of clubs at that level are either renting or using public gyms etc.
I’d imagine you could buy most of Wales for £2m.

I’d have thought it’s just to get out of the league - the rest of the club has been better run under the WST that it’s been for decades, but the football side of things has suffered the curse of every national league side in that whenever they go on a run the players and/or the manager get pinched.

It’s one of the toughest leagues to get out of even with money, with about 10 other ex league clubs in the league, and half a dozen more in the league below. Wrexham have come close a few times, I was at Wembley when they lost the playoff to Newport 7 years ago, but too often there’s been teams with more money or local businessmen behind them getting ahead of them . They've got a decent ground and training facilities which can be improved , I’m not sure though how far £2mill can take them , hopefully as you say enough to get out of the league. With 4,000 plus gates in a reasonable season it’s a good investment base to start with.

From what I remember, living there for a while, arent the facilities they use part of Gylndwr university?

I have never heard of these Mericans, but gather they are comedians, or comedic actors.

This stinks of a gigantic piss take with them using Wrexham as some project they can "make amusing" stateside.

Like a Jeremy Beadle secret camera stunt, on speed.

Glad it’s not just me who hasn’t heard of them.

I hope they pick themselves to play a few games.

Yeah Glyndwr University own the ground and they rent it back to Wrexham with a 99 year lease. They agreed a development plan for the old Kop end earlier this year . The training facilities at Colliers Park, Gresford are owned by Glyndwr but as I understand it the football club no longer use them because of costs and they use an area within the town which they’re negotiating a lease for. I’m not that up to date, but the potential looks like it’s there.
