Wrexham.....

It’s one of the toughest leagues to get out of even with money, with about 10 other ex league clubs in the league, and half a dozen more in the league below. Wrexham have come close a few times, I was at Wembley when they lost the playoff to Newport 7 years ago, but too often there’s been teams with more money or local businessmen behind them getting ahead of them . They've got a decent ground and training facilities which can be improved , I’m not sure though how far £2mill can take them , hopefully as you say enough to get out of the league. With 4,000 plus gates in a reasonable season it’s a good investment base to start with.

yes, I was there as well - fkin Ormerod

Anyone been watching “Welcome to Wrexham” on Disney streaming services?

It seems like a cross of hard hitting real life with a history of wales.

Two episodes out every Thursday. Bit strange because it was last season so you kind of know the outcome, but have to let it play out.

Well it was always their intent to do this docuseries , hence it started before they officially bought the club. For me the first two episodes were quite poignant , bringing back memories from my youth / early 20’s. It’s been a good mix so far of the town, it’s people and it’s football. The episode of how they were ripped off by the then owners who plummeted them down the league while trying to sell the ground was a classic reminder to us about how detrimental unscrupulous owners can be.

Although the outcome of last season is known , hopefully there will be a second series with a more positive outcome. The series has been well received worldwide with lots of positive comments. The approach of Rob and Ryan as owners has been fantastic, getting in people with football knowledge to run the club , not interfering on the minutiae while positively promoting the club. With sell out crowds of 9,500 and decent sponsorship deals they’re also generating a good amount of money.
