For those saying "It's alright cos it ain't our dough" the way I see it's like this:
When you buy bang average, you get bang average.
When you buy bang average at exorbitant (Not the euphemistic 'going rate' at all) rates - regardless of whose money it is - and you're still getting bang average, those paying realise they're getting their fingers burnt, and are then less willing to buy genuine quality as a result.
Then you have to factor in that bang average will be getting paid as much - or even more than - our established (better) players. And they'll want parity or more when they see what bang average gets, or they're off.
So, if we have an average season (7th or below, out the cups before the semis) this season, don't complain.
When we can't attract the top players because of it, or because they and their clubs decide their 'going rate' seeing as what bang average brings and earns, don't complain.
When our own established players want out, don't complain.
When the ST prices go up, and they still pay well over the odds, don't complain.
When your sky subscription goes up, to pay bang average's wages & agent fees, don't complain.
We've allowed palace to dry-bum us, and some have got their arse cheeks well spread, begging for another shafting.
