Yannick Bolasie

Could be the end of Baines as an attacking force because there will be no clever inter link up play with Bolasie, he gets it and goes. So where does that leave baines, who apparently is a crap defender?

In fairness Baines' interplay with everybody bar Pienaar has been pretty non-existent - Kev, Lennon, Del, Barks, Clev - all failed.

I still can't get my head around the fee and why we want this player , for that price there are so many more better players , oh well I hope this crayon proves me wrong and become a vital part of the team.

I genuinely just think we're all thinking how the side is gonna play is using similar attacking play to RM, but I think a signing like this (for so much) means that Koeman is switching to a completely different system.

I don't really get this one, £25m? £80-90k salary, 3 assists last season, is he left-sided? I suppose we only really have Kev there who I think is naturally ride sided...?

6 goals 6 assists in all comps last year

not saying we aren't overpaying - we are - but it all just depends on how RK wants to play. All our wingers are extremely similar. Bolasie is different to them all and offers something new.

He's going to be far more dangerous with players with good movement like Lukaku and Del floating around in front of him. He should find it a lot easier to set players up in our side.

don't really think he's been brought in solely as a 'creator' mate - let's be honest even though they aren't bad, he's not exactly set the world alight with the stats. However, he does offer pace and power - whereas our other wide options only offer pace.

Bolasie is rapid though and can also hold up the play better than Kev or Del. It'll turn out to be a good signing, IMO, as long as fans don't start judging him on his fee - it's not his fault, just let him do what he's good at when he gets here.

Haven't seen much of him but watching youtube clips he seems to have a lot of tricks in his locker. I reckon RK is going to get us hitting on the counter a lot with pace down the wings. Thing I'm most interested in is if he'll play with 1 or 2 strikers most of the time.

He's a bit chicken with no head. That said, if he belts a few in against them in the derby it's job done.
He's best described as a player who no-one knows what he's going to next - including him.

His pace and direct approach frightens the opposition and they often doubled up on him as a result, which leaves space for others. When those 'others' are durge like that nodder Chamakh, McArthur and Murray, compared to Ross, Rom and maybe Mata............
