For me this is a very important season for Everton. Wasting money on a player like Lamela who was an utter failure in his first season would not be good for us this season. I do think he's come good as a player, but I am only talking about his first season...and for me our first season under Koeman is very important in seeing us up the table and hopefully find next summer a bit easier in going after top players.

Witsel is a perfect example. If we were in CL or probably even EL, he'd have already signed.
Fair nuff. I personally think it was Andre Villas Boas mismanagement but I agree this year is very very important.

Too many players in a window though can be hard to integrate.

Personally I'd drop Barkley back to give us some punch from deep and give Deulofeu the chance of popping up where he wants. I think GD could do a similar job for Koeman as Lallana did for him at Southampton.

I agree again on that first point mate which is why I'm not really bothered - I'd rather have quality over quantity any day.

As it stands, I'd say we still need: New CB, GK (Stek a good option I think but need better), back-up fwd (depends on how RK wants to use Bolasie I suppose), creative CM, AM (I think this could potentially be one or the other if Bolasie is coming)

However, if we don't get all of the above I won't be devastated, but I'd like to see at least another four signings (not including Bolasie). Just my opinion of course.

I also think Holgate has shown enough in pre-season to warrant a place in the squad, possibly primarily as right-back cover (he's played there equally well as he as at CB), as well as our 'go-to' 4th/5th choice CB.

Outgoings I do just think it'll be a case of doing all we can to ship out McGeady, Niasse and probably Kone,, while if decent offers come in for say McCarthy, Clevs or Gibson, one of them will probably leave (I love Jimmy Mac, but he's frustrated the hell out of me this pre-season with his rigid sideways passing, and I don't know if he'll suit RK's system)

We'll struggle to finish in the top half lads. Then how you all going to feel?

We won't mate, we will be in the mix for eufa places, but way off the CL pace as we seem to be rargetting players to make the squad solid but with a definite ceiling on what we can achieve

We dont do early morning announcements - its all about the afternoon.
