Yannick Bolasie

My only worry is that we will have an over-abundance of 'hot 'n' cold' wingers, which will need to cycled endlessly over their periodic patches of form...

...but whenever this guy is on form, he really is an unplayable, gangly bundle of limbs. If Koeman can bring the best out of him, as with Mirallas/Geri, we will see a revival of lethal out-and-out wing action. But yeah - 30 is a bit steep, when we could've got change for Wijnaldum/Mané.

So it's "utter bubbles" that Townsend is better than Bolasie? Are you sure mate?

Is this the same Townsend who's been bouncing from club to club

The media have blown him up because he's young and English

There's surely a reason no one hangs on to him.

If he was as good as people think his personality wouldn't be an issue

What about Bolasie who's never attracted interest from anyone bigger than Palace before?

Most football fans would disagree with you

I don't think they would.

This time last year (after a fantastic season) Bolasie was being linked with big moves to Spurs and Liverpool.

He stayed at Palace and hasn't kicked on, for a variety of factors - including inconsistency and injury.

Townsend is a one trick pony. Cut inside and shoot, the occasional half-decent cross.

If you'd ask me which one I'd rather spend £20m on, it'd be Bolasie (not that either of them are worth it)

"Being linked with" doesn't mean anything, we were "being linked with" Hal Robson-Kanu at one point, do you think we were ever interested? All that shows is that people in the media don't have a clue about [Poor language removed]

20m would be too much. Jordan Ibe cost 15m, he's probably a bit above his level. About 17m would be right. He's 28 soon so no chance of selling him on for a profit/getting our money back on him in 3 years once his pace has deteriorated. Awful signing.

well we went in with a first bid of 18m so it seems Everton would agree with you. However, Palace turned us down and since RK wanted him we've improved our offer (like with Williams). It's a mad market and you have to pay over the odds on occasions.

And he's not 28 until May, btw. And why the hell are you so obsessed with re-sale? It's irrelevant.

Pretty sure Spurs made a £15mil bid actually mert, but Palace turned it down and got Bolasie on a new bumper deal.

Alan Pardew is not the man to improve players. He's a poor manager of about Martinez level in my estimation.

Comes in gets the squad up for it in the short term but can't sustain it.
