I'm not sure he was under obligation to explain anything early doors.
As a relatively well-heeled and successful businessman, I think we should be inclined to let him carry out a thorough review of all areas of infrastructure and staff, and make changes in a timely and structured order. His bringing in his Russian friend and business associate, Moshiri has set those wheel in motion and when the time is right - after due consideration - the changes will be made and if needs be, the axe will fall on some.
Too many people have perhaps fallen into the trap of a billionaire taking control and waving said magic wand - if it were that easy, surely there'd be even more billionaires queuing up to take on footie clubs.
Moshiri would appear to me to have bought into the 'Everton are a sleeping giant' theory and he's going about the awakening in ways that suit him.
He's on the stadium case leaving t'other fella to look into and after the day-to-day operations of the club.
I tend to concur with the thoughts of @The Esk in that Everton, over the course of the next couple of/few years will change beyond current levels of recognition... and fingers crossed in say five years time, we'll be back where we all want to be... challenging for the very top, winning silverware and having recently moved into a state-of-the-art, riverfront gin-palace of a stadium.
I think he was under that obligation. What's happened is that expectations have run ahead of what we can actually achieve in the near future. You can see all around you now the effect that has had as this window has lurched from a bold move to nab another PL club's manager to stalling badly over player recruitment. That is not good organisation management.
There's no need to treat Evertonians like kids who cant handle the reality of a short to medium term strategy. It's not like we haven't had to be patient and disciplined as fans for the past 30 years.
Other clubs we need to compete with, by and large, had less rebuilding.everyone seems to be signing late on except for Liverpool adopting their usual 'who can we buy from southampton' approach and throwing money round without any real rhyme or reason
I think it's a phenomena of this season - everyone is still feeling out the new market with all the extra money flying around so they're being cautious and hanging fire on deals until all the I s are dotted and t s are crossed
reckon it'll be different next season
Pardew said then that they won't be making any moves, in or out, before this weekend.
Next week this.
Did we ever get that toffee crisp he bet that he'd finish higher?Pardew is just a very sore loser!. At the barcodes he stated "We are in a different league to Everton now", how right he was proven to be. He has always been a snide where Everton are concerned, maybe its because we nearly always swill his teams out on a regular basis. Or more probably because he's just a very very lucky chancer who is jealous of Everton's superior standing in the game?. Whatever the reason is ,it makes no nevermind because the powers that be at Palace will decide how and when the deal will be done!!.Pardew is an oaf ,short and sweet - a journeyman/yard dog of a player and a never will be as a manager.

Same.

Dont you think we have had a problem in being able to attract the quality of player we want this summer though? It seems to me like we have thrown money at players with little/no success. How is that a lack of ambition? If anything, its too much.I think he was under that obligation. What's happened is that expectations have run ahead of what we can actually achieve in the near future. You can see all around you now the effect that has had as this window has lurched from a bold move to nab another PL club's manager to stalling badly over player recruitment.
