Yannick Bolasie

Noticable that his first 4 signings look very likely to be a Goalkeeper, Defensive midfielder, and 2 centrebacks, Bolasie looks like a signing made to give us pace on the counter - we are setting up to be a counter attacking team - which actually suits the better players we already have (Lukaku, Barkley, Deulofeu) problem will come though as we still have absolutely nothing different against teams that decide to sit back against us, thats when you need that centre mid with a bit of quality and an attacking mid like Mata/Silva etc
I think he's turning us into an souped up version of Palace. Mata could be our Cabaye.

Am just going by what was being reported at the time, and that was Swansea had knocked back our offer that they originally accepted.

Swansea's fault mate not ours - they went back on our initial agreement in principle.

We didn't take any offence or anything and quickly went back with another bid. That one was clearly accepted as we never offered three bids.

A front 4 of Lukaku, Barkley, Deulofeu and Bolasie is a possession based team's nightmare to be fair, full of pace and running. I'm more than happy to do what Liverpool did when Suarez when in the team, it works. Leicester also played a similar way for most of the season.

3 of them at least are sh1t at holding on to the ball although it would be good without with t he pace i agree

I think Koeman will also remember us tearing Southampton apart on the counter last season.

It's going to make for a lot of negative games because I doubt we are the only team planning to play this way.

If we got Kone, Williams, Bolasie, Gueye and then two star signings of either Mata/Bony/Carvalho and kept Rom I would think that would be a very successful window.

A lot of IFs still.

I am far from convinced regarding Bolasie. I think his scoring record is something like 1 in 10 for a forward player that is poor and as for counter attacking Palace scored 39 goals in total last year again poor and some 20 less that Everton . I personally think he flatters to deceive and happen to think the fact that he is available from a team that needs attacking players says it all

Gueye not too sure. He won't score and as we know was the deep lying midfielder in front of a terrible defence in what was probably one of the poorest teams ever to play in the PL

Williams I personally believe is a bit of a gamble although I fully accept that his leadership skills are still there irrespective of his age and at a decline in on field performances something that many supporters at Swansea are suggesting is quite noticeable althoughI guess they would say that wouldn't they!

Kone is interesting but my guess is that he is waiting to see what happens at his current club but also what is happening at Chelsea before he makes a descion.

Mata would again be interesting but he is on a fortune at Man Utd and yes he would add a huge amount in terms of creativity there is a suggestion is that he won't be sold to another PL club for anything less than he was signed for, if indeed he is sold, the likelihood is he will possibly loaned to a club in Spain

Bony . I see that he was offered as part of the Stones deal but the offer was declined and reading elsewhere that he is available for £30 million. He had a decent record at Swansea so maybe but not sure having Bony and RL in the same squad will work.

Carvalho. More likely to sign Ricardo rather than William. Has a poor scoring record, 1 in 10 and with a €35 million release clause not sure he is a current target

WTF? Do you record the match and play it on fast forward.

I don't really care about fees. He's just not very good. He isn't inconsistent. He is consistently bad. He's had about three decent games since coming to the prem, and he isn't at an age where you think he'll get better. Not the player we need.

I still reckon we will have a decent window overall. I'm just not going to start rating a player because it looks like we are signing him.

think a mix of saints and leicester is what we seem to be aiming towards mate, given its success and the fact we have koeman and walsh i gues thats no shock though

Martinez sanctioned the deal as it was a panic buy cos we didn't get Yarmalenko, so he is responsible, another reason why he was sacked, an absolute disgrace to our club.....
Nah. That doesn't add up. Even a panic buy would have been played after being bought. Martinez kept him at arms length with excuses like he had a bad wrist or he wasn't ready.

As said, I'd look elsewhere for the fingerprints on that deal.

Reeves, sanctioned by Martinez
