Yannick Bolasie

I reckon he will be playing the Shane Long role. I do think he's better than Shane Long, who Southampton signed for £12m at the age of 27 2 years ago, which is about £20m in equivalent money now.

Long runs the channels, works all day, gets into great positions and converts about 1 in 4 chances but provides for the other strikers. Lukaku will benefit from a player like that, so if Bolasie's work rate equals Longs then fair enough I suppose, although it still seems at least £10m too much to me.

Long scores a goal roughly every 250 minutes in his PL career.

Bolasie every 750 minutes. That includes a hattrick too. Without that one off spree it is a goal every 1000 minutes. Well we did need to replace Hibbo's attacking contribution....

Medical but can't officially sign, I'm sure the FA has to give special dispensation for a Sunday deal.

Not sure it's any dispensation mate, think it's purely that the majority of the FA don't work Sundays unless it's ahead of the window closing on Monday/Tuesday.

He'll be signed tomorrow IMO

Aye I thought the FA didn't operate but we had it on here a couple of weeks ago where someone found deals that were done on a Sunday. But yeah, done tomorrow night or Tuesday.

i do think he's the kind of player who will be much better with better players around him. His assist stats are more to do with the facet he's been smacking balls into the box and connor wickham and frazer campbell have been his targets.

He's exiciting, i just think we're paying too much. But i do think he'll be great for us.
