I think Walsh probably looked at Bolasie, Musa and Mane whilst at Leicester, and they ultimately signed Musa. Shame we couldn't have gotten Musa, but Bolasie will serve the same purpose for us. Winger, back-up striker, basically wherever we need him on a game by game basis.

Koeman wanted Bolasise mate, not particularly a Walsh signing this

What is value for money though in the crazy world of transfers?

Andy Carroll £35m
Torres £50m
Seamus Coleman 60k
Oumar Niasse £13m
Aquilani (a hero will rise) £20m
Pienaar at Spurs v Pienaar at Everton.

What matters is not the price or value for money, but if the player can fit a system, settle his family and himself in the area or country (Carroll did not want to leave Newcastle where he was playing very well).

If our scouting has been done thoroughly then he should prove to be a shrewd addition and an effective team player.
Hahahahahaahhaha.

made up about this, going to be so so boss in a koeman team.

Yes he'll have had bad games, but so does every player, including deulofeu, ross, jags etc all of our good players.

But he'll offer so much pace and power on that wing which teams will be scared of, and he can beat any defender with skill on his day,

Yes our aim will to get more consistent performances out of him but i trust our manager, staff, and walsh.

Thing is Koeman wants Bolasise, just like he wanted Gueye, lets be honest when we did that one from Villa a lot of pople wonder what was going on, well yesterday he made as a good a debute for Everton as i have seen for a while, so if he wants Bolasise there has to be sound reasoning behind it, he must have a plan and he fits the bill for him to spend that much of his budget on him.

I was listening to a footie podcast this morning, they mentioned that in equivalent to annual turnover, Bryan Robson cost more than Paul Pogba for Utd.

In the same way, in 2007 our turnover was 51m, Yakubu cost 11.25m, which is 22% of the turnover. If we pay 27m for Bolassie, that'll be 21% of Last year's turnover (£125.6m).

I'm as surprised as anyone about the price we're paying for him, but there's little point in comparing it to any previous transfer, I think he'll do pretty well too.

The fee will be 20 plus add ons. When the likes of Stephen fletcher and jordan Rhodes have both gone for 15 million plus going back a Cpl of years its a fair price. He gives us something we haven't got, pace and power. I think he'll be a great signing.
