Just ban everyone. Let's get back to teletext and club call.
Ooh, you must have posted this as I was typing mine. Great minds and all that.

Think Bolasie could be a very useful signing. Sounds a lot but you have to look at it from Palace's point of view. We often argue that some of our players who are sought after have an 'added' value to us beyond their market value. It would be reasonable to assume that Palace consider him a vital cog in their machine so to speak. Also have to consider how much will be needed to replace said player with today's crazy market values.

We could also ban the "experts" on here who question the credentials of players we're linked with. They're clearly more qualified to judge a player than those employed at the club to bring in new players :coffee:

I don't claim to be an expert.

£25m for an attacker with a goals/assists of less than half that of Anichebe (at Everton/West Brom ) and Kone (at Everton) seems excessive to me.

The way I see it - he adds something to us - another attacking option, unpredictable - and might work well with Baines. Way better than Kone and Cleverly.

However, as pointed out a few pages back, they do already measure this through a stat called "key passes"

And his key passes stats are poor too, 1.1 a game compared to teammate Jason Puncheon on 1.4 a game and the likes of Aaron Lennon on 1.5 a game.
Lies, damned lies and statistics. Don't be blinded by stats they can often give you a false impression of a players ability and worth.

There's a reason Bolasie is being sold for big money and the others you mention with better "stats" aren't.

We pretty much all agree that Bolasie is gravely overpriced but that's the current market unfortunately.

The manager/director of football/both? Clearly want the player, and are prepared to pay what it takes to bring him here.

Let's wait and see what he actually produces in a blue shirt before writing him off as a crap signing that some are doing on here.
