Yannick Bolasie

Very selective. I think you'll find there were way more successes than failures.

By the way, all those you name put together cost less Bolasie will.

I hope he's a success, but it looks like a panic buy.

I think the complete opposite on reflecting about it mate, Bolaise is a player who fits a very specific role in a team as such not a panic buy at all, but a player who Koeman has wanted for a whilst and suits the style of his play.

Plus mate, you don't suddenly panic buy with 19 days left honestly - Niasse was a panic buy 100%, this lad is a planned purchase by koeman/Walsh to suit the system they want

'koff you miserable man. His stats speak for themselves:

Take ons per game: 31
% of take ons as a representative of shimmy: 59% (leader in league)
Sick dribs per minute: .349
O no u di-hunnnts per game: 33
"Is that a light aircraft flying overhead?"s: 2
Smell my finger: 0.5
Goals / Assists: NEA
Willy Whips: 6

Why havent skysports given you a spot on their opta-index staff ? Cracking breakdown I must say.

By breakdown I mean mentally.

Considering who he is and what he has done I think you're comment is below the belt. But it looks like you're a sour orange or sour puss whichever one it is. Lol

I respect his record as a player and what he did at Southampton on a smallish budget. But here he's done nothing yet.

Ha Ha Ha.

Thanks mate.

I think we owe any Everton manager coming in our loyalty for the first season, tbh.

I dont like this signing though. It's about as wrong as you can get, imo. The feller has nothing to his game as far as I can see.

Laughing at the Echo trying to spin his dubious talents: "he has the greatest number of 'take ons' of any player. FFS 'take ons'. Lol.

have to say, ur absolutely spot on with this one mate

i know what u mean about panic buy. i don't think it is panic though - just desperate. can tell we've been rebuffed for a number of targets but want to make abit of a statement so we've ended up going for this lad... now what sort of statement that is i'm not sure. feels very much an RS sort of transfer. do these mosh millions just mean we're going to be overpaying for crap, very much that way so far. would like to see a bit more guile, that's where we'll have success. its where southampton had success, where leicester had success. they didnt get it spending 25mil on a one dimensional crystal palace player

The pendulum has swung. Hopefully,
it's the no faffing around and play to the strengths of the players era.
Our strengths under Martinez were to counter with the ball at our feet not to belt it downfield. It was controlled attacking play and we were one of the best teams in the PL at it. THAT was our strength and that's what should be preserved. Fix the defence and leave the rest intact.

That's exactly what I meant mate. Yes.

I think he's probably come in and seen the attitude and work rate of Mirallas and immediately knew he had to get shut of him. If that happens then it'll almost be worthwhile.

I just think the cash could have been better spent, tbh. I just wonder if the wages situation is hamstringing us now: we can get better quality for that fee elsewhere, but a better quality player would command higher wages and that's an issue at the club...or seems to be.

Sorry, but i think we've 'settled' here.

You say that about Mirallas Dave yet Koeman was extremely complimentary of him. You've got a personal vendetta against Kev for some reason, and that's fine - it's your opinion. But IMO it's pretty evident Kev has worked extremely hard this pre-season and from what RK said in his presser Saturday he is happy.

Again, I quote: "Players like Deulofeu and Kevin [Mirallas]. They are very good and I like the players but they have to work hard. Today they worked hard and then they have the quality to go and play good football. The same is for Ross [Barkley]."

I do think there's a possibility Kev or Lennon may well leave if a big offer comes in,but definitely can't see Koeman actively looking to sell. It's all about options. I think this is also backed up by the comments from Joyce and Hunter linking us with a move for Sissoko earlier in the window, but we weren't willing to stump up £35mil (rightly so).

And maybe we have 'settled', but name me another player with PL experience (and I think this is key as it's what Koeman is looking for currently in his deals) who we know will come in and offer us something different to what we have in this area. Lots of mentions from others about players that are better (of that I have no doubt), but I don't think any of them are in any way similar.

I think if we get Ghezzal (sp?) in as well, then we may well look to move on a winger.

Didn't take long Dave lol popcorning at its ultimate best. Please count the amount of bites you get. I heard @Bryan got over 15 on one of his posts last week :celebrate:
