It's not a zero sum game - just because Mirallas is crap doesn't mean Bolasie isn't.
That's actually the problem - we have loads of wingers, and all of them are luxury players.
I'm really liking this lad, wasn't even arsed when he did that stupid trick and the ball went out of play.
Wingers are almost always luxury players though - he's frustrating but he's been effective so far this season.
Who would you have in his place out of interest?

Pipe down, Tubey you absolute whopper. The internet clearly isnt for you. Your opinion is the most irrelevant on here. I see the place you dont rate bagged his 50th PL goal for Everton, unlucky.
But then I wouldn't be able to see all of your wisdom on display.Ignore button. Use it instead of pointlessly replying.
Oh yeah, well done for all of the assists he's gotten, but utterly infuriating player.Yeah couldn't agree more, nearly put my foot through the telly with that Rabona at 1-0... And the 5mins after that.
But he did get an assist that ultimately won us the game... Agreed?
Thank god for @TubeyBut then I wouldn't be able to see all of your wisdom on display.
I'd have him ahead of any winger in our squad right now, but that's only because I don't rate Mirallas (to put it mildly), Lennon is just too lightweight and anonymous, and, unfortunately, Deulofeu hasn't kicked on. So he's the best of a bad bunch. I'd get rid of all of the aforementioned players before Bolasie, but that doesn't mean I rate him, as weird as that sounds.
My problem with him is the price tag, and people can say it doesn't matter all they want, but it does. For that money for our club, he doesn't represent value. Mirallas (£6m), Deulofeu (£4m) and Lennon (£4m) are combined a fraction of the cost of this lad (yes, I know different market now, but the point remains valid). For that cost, he had to be something special.
If in the future he ends up being a squad player after we spend £30m+ on good players all over the shop, then fine, but he isn't the player I'd have chosen to kick off this "new era" where "things will never be the same", and until we do start spending that money, the amount he cost is not small change. That's not his fault of course, but it is what it is - we've brought in a player who is a liability in most games for a lot of money, at a time where we needed players to provide balance and structure.
Not in his place as such, but I was really impressed with Nathan Redmond last season and he's carried on that form this season for the saints. Him and bolasie on either wing would have been a real handful.Wingers are almost always luxury players though - he's frustrating but he's been effective so far this season.
