It's not a zero sum game - just because Mirallas is crap doesn't mean Bolasie isn't.

That's actually the problem - we have loads of wingers, and all of them are luxury players.

Wingers are almost always luxury players though - he's frustrating but he's been effective so far this season.

Who would you have in his place out of interest?

I'd have him ahead of any winger in our squad right now, but that's only because I don't rate Mirallas (to put it mildly), Lennon is just too lightweight and anonymous, and, unfortunately, Deulofeu hasn't kicked on. So he's the best of a bad bunch. I'd get rid of all of the aforementioned players before Bolasie, but that doesn't mean I rate him, as weird as that sounds.

My problem with him is the price tag, and people can say it doesn't matter all they want, but it does. For that money for our club, he doesn't represent value. Mirallas (£6m), Deulofeu (£4m) and Lennon (£4m) are combined a fraction of the cost of this lad (yes, I know different market now, but the point remains valid). For that cost, he had to be something special.

If in the future he ends up being a squad player after we spend £30m+ on good players all over the shop, then fine, but he isn't the player I'd have chosen to kick off this "new era" where "things will never be the same", and until we do start spending that money, the amount he cost is not small change. That's not his fault of course, but it is what it is - we've brought in a player who is a liability in most games for a lot of money, at a time where we needed players to provide balance and structure.

Pipe down, Tubey you absolute whopper. The internet clearly isnt for you. Your opinion is the most irrelevant on here. I see the place you dont rate bagged his 50th PL goal for Everton, unlucky.

So, again, instead of discussing the point, it's a pointless reply/insult instead of just using the ignore button if you don't like me and moving on with your life.

What did you get from that post mate? Happier now? Did it achieve something for you?

So what your opinion on Coleman £60,000/£200,000 (pending on who you believe )? i.e. If Coleman does a 5 out of 10 performance and Bolasie does a 5 out of 10 performance. how would you judge them both ? basing on what you've stated above you'd say Coleman was fantastic and Bolasie was dreadful ?

Not in his place as such, but I was really impressed with Nathan Redmond last season and he's carried on that form this season for the saints. Him and bolasie on either wing would have been a real handful.

Bolasie is the most skilful player at the club. He can beat a player for pace, with strength, or with skill and creativity. He is coming into his prime and I believe he will score more goals than he has previously in his career. He is also two-footed. I cannot believe people are criticising him instead of loving him.
