So what your opinion on Coleman £60,000/£200,000 (pending on who you believe )? i.e. If Coleman does a 5 out of 10 performance and Bolasie does a 5 out of 10 performance. how would you judge them both ? basing on what you've stated above you'd say Coleman was fantastic and Bolasie was dreadful ?

I have higher base standards for a player who cost £25m+ than one who cost £60k, yes.

Like I'd have higher expectations from a meal at a five star restaurant compared to egg on toast at home.

For the cost - considering the club we are who haven't until this point had billions to throw around - I simply expected something better than Bolasie, even taking into account the inflated market. I'm not sure how that is in any way controversial.

What would you like to see from Bolasie to convince you he was worth the outlay?

He hasn't set goodison alight that is for sure, but 1 goal and 4 assists in his first 9 games is not to bad a return. Lets hope he can kick on from now.

Consistency and having an impact on the game from start to finish. Not seeing that so far - I'm seeing cameos that are getting assists but I'm not seeing convincing performances overall.

I've kinda sorta noticed that when we look awful in attack, guys are passing the ball to Bolasie on the wing and standing around waiting for him to do something. He's not Arteta and its just not going to happen. However when he gets the ball from someone else while he's still moving he can make good things happen.

He needs to add goals to his game that is all I want from him. I want him to shoot and score more from the edge of the box because he has the ability. He's not the type to be a support striker he's more of a creator but he can score more long-range efforts with his ability. I think he will start doing this and I think the price tag on him will push him to greater things.

.

The standard we should expect from Bolasie is exactly what we have seen from him, we bought him to assist Lukaku and he has been doing that, he has been one of our better players this season and is proving himself to be a good buy from Koeman.

Give the lad a chance. He's already contributed and his best could yet be to come.

I have to say, failing miserably at turns aside, I like the look of Yannick. Lot of energy and he scares the eff out of defenders. His crossing doesn't always find its man but, as mentioned before, wingers have one of the most thankless tasks on the pitch

He's frustrating at times, and I don't think that is going to change but he's provided 4 assists in 8 league starts (plus 30 mins from the bench on his debut). On top of that he's provided half a dozen really excellent chances which we're managed to spew. I doubt his goal-scoring record will ever amount to anything worth shouting about, but he is dangerous and creative. He's also an outlet when we are under pressure.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised overall, he is contributing more than I thought he would.
