Yannick Bolasie

Eggs at least he is giving his all, unpredictable and frustrating yes but he keeps going. Bolasie and Gana are the only 2 players who cant be questioned for there passion, Gana yesterday with the ball was poor, but kept going and never stopped, that I can accept.

...he certainly is giving his all. I'm just defining the player I see but his attitude is fine. Indeed, if anything was to happen yesterday it was likely to come from him.

Not impressed with Bolasie, for the money spent (and the interest in Sissoko), this is a worrying sign.

Agree that he appears to work harder than most of them, fair enough, but he is too much of a fancy dan without end product for me, and we had enough of them already.

£28m seems very steep for some Evertonians, including me, but I accept this is the going rate for average these days.

As Ped said on ToffeeTV, say what you like about his end product (we know he's frustrating, and we know he will either do something stupid or he'll beat his full-back and put in a great percentage cross that players should be getting on the end of).

That's what he is. And if this team had any ounce of attacking nous, we'd be making sure those percentage crosses that do get into the box are buried.

I'm sorry, but anybody slating a player that at least tries to make stuff happen, when there's literally eight others (excluding Gueye and Stek) who literally float through the game, need to give their heads a collective wobble.

He works hard. He has passion. He frustrates and excites in equal measure.

But at the moment he has been our main creative outlet.

People may blame the tactics, but I refuse to believe the tactics set out by Koeman are 'punt it to Bolasie'.

That never happened at S'ton. It was never a case of 'punt it to the big man'.

The fact is that this side run out of ideas so quickly that the only other alternative is give it to Yannick.

you say he's our main creative outlet toff, he's our ONLY creative outlet lol

not his fault when he lays efforts on a plate like the cross for Barkley whose head suddenly turns into a bloody ironing board at the crucial moment.

I'm not arsed about the fee, we've got him and there's nothing we can do to change the fee. He's trying, doesn't always come off but he's still giving it a go whilst the rest of them do sod all

Couldn't agree more mate.

IF he wasn't the only player trying/able to create, he wouldn't be getting the stick he is IMO - not that he deserves it anyway.

His delivery isn't always great but when he gets the ball into the box (which he does more often than not try to do), he puts in some very good percentage crosses.

Deliveries like that require some more players in the box. We should have 3-4 players in the box, instead we have one (if we're lucky).

He didn't cost £28mil mate but yeh, even so, very expensive.

Is what it is though, like you said. But you say no end product? He's the only one of our wingers who consistently gets the ball into the area.

There's either nobody making a run or its Barkley getting on the end of it missing an easy header...

he's exactly how I thought he would be, in fact he's actually more consistent than I thought he would be I thought we would get 1 world class game followed by 5 poor games. what we've got is no world class game but 7/10 performances. His job is to create and even though he looks ungainly sometimes and can be frustrating he is cresting chances.

Must be tough for him as well because coming from Palace with little pressure to suddenly playing for Everton for big money whilst the rest of the team are horribly out of form. He's still trying and still smiling and must feel the pressure. I think he's done well considering those factors.

Certainly yesterday 2nd half he put Lukaku, Barkley and Lennon to shame for effort and trying to make things happen

....physically impressive, great strength, athleticism and work rate but totally uncontrolled from a mental and technical perspective. The 2nd half run through the middle was typical, the pace and power to go past Van Dijk but then the lack of control to go into a calmer gear and finish the opportunity. On another day that wild shot might have gone in the top corner but those moments will be rare.

He's a Duracell bunny. Wind him up, send him out and he'll run all day but you are never sure what you'll get!!!

Here he is!

Belassie is frustrating, but at least he tries to make things happen. If he could think a bit more when in full flow, he would be a very good player. There was an occasion late on yesterday when he drove down the middle ,beating three players...problem was he lost the ball trying to beat another player when there was an easy pass on to put Geri in the clear. It must also be frustrating for him to have so much pace and enthusiasm in his locker, and yet have to put up with the slow, indecisive fannying around perpetrated by Ross Barkley ......Barkley who is red faced and blowing hard ten minutes into most games, without actually exerting himself. Barkley may have ball skills, but he does not have the attitude or fitness levels required in the Premier league. He is of course not alone in that respect...the way Bournemouth approached the game against Arsenal, never giving up, taking the game to the opposition ,and working hard as a team for 90 minutes, put our feeble efforts yesterday to shame. Koeman is cornered now....he has to seriously kick some ass, and get a performance out of this lot against United, or he will lose the crowd, never mind losing the dressing room.

The prominence of red and orange (failed) yesterday says a lot.

I think he loses the ball far too often. His assists count at the end of the season will look good - but overall I'm not convinced the team benefit.

The one that Barkley fluffed was the cross of the highest quality. I can't account for the other red arrows, but unless they were aimless balls to no-one, it could easily be argued that he's putting in excellent crosses and the team simply aren't doing enough to be on the end of them.

Bolasie is the type of player will always fall foul of Opta stats, I'm the same way a player knocking sideways passed around in midfield will always have a great pass completion rate. Bolasie is there to speculate. He shouldn't be hung out to dry on his stats.
