Yannick Bolasie

It's harsh to say, but he's bang average and we can have a better go at developing some moves if he's not the obvious option to hoof it to up the field.

Koeman might have to start thinking about playing football now and put down the golf clubs. Time for this feller to earn his handsome salary.

He gets his head up and plays the ball infield and makes second runs. the movement and intelligence is clear. more space is created. when he does take on his man then clearly there is going to be times when he loses possession too

Deulofeu loses the ball just as often as Bolasie does. Unlike Deulofeu, Bolasie has actually created goals for us this season.

Deulofeu wasn't even starting regularly under Martinez, and he hasn't under Koeman either. As much as you may protest about Bolasie it's clear that Deulofeu is deemed not good enough to start and that has been the case under two managers in two seasons.

Some people really need to just get this stat bullshit out of their minds.

Bolasie is the most awkward footballer i have seen in an everton shirt in a long time. he has zero technique.

The result when he is on the ball 50% or more of the time is a turnover in posession to the opposition due to running blindly at them with his head down.

Now, tell me.. how are we supposed to work effectively as a unit to control the game and craft the performance and result needed when posession is getting turned over so easily all the time?

This "he has had most assists" so he must be the best player ethic has to stop. its a team game and the team plays better without bolasie.
Most awkward? Lulz. Oumar Niasse couldn't run without falling over.

Deulofeu and Barkley both turn the ball over a ton... Bolasie is not the most traditional winger but you can see but he's dangerous, and he gets his crosses off a heck of a lot more than our other wingers who get theirs blocked constantly.

"Some" though young Squonk. You'll get contrary opinions everywhere. I'm really not fond of all this "fan-shaming" that's getting led by the likes of @KUEFC09U2
I dont know anything about that but i do know that celebrating the fact that one of our main players is badly injured is inexcusable.

He's a million miles better than Townsend - that's not Pardew's view but hey, I can live with that.. meanwhile Everton, being as lucky as usual and being somewhere well below average - like 15th or so on any sensible estimate of PL Power Rankings (somewhere above West Ham, Leicester, Swansea, Palace and Sunderland (maybe, maybe not) - or perhaps Burnley/Watford.. we have just lost one of the few moderately bright offensive lights in the side. Barkley is performing well below expectations, Lennon, Mirallas and Geri haven't been up to much and Enner is well.. chasing ambulances more than footballs. Romelu gets no service and looks fed up (again). Kone is on the M62 and Niasse is on the missing list (RK's list as well as most others)..

Then err.. Tom C-at looks just feral, Tom D is suffering from splinters in his ass, Mo is back in recuperation, Darron is on the lash, Baz and Idrissa are manning the fort whilst Macca is checking the routes North.

So yeah we clearly will not be missing him at all.

Time for Mr Calvert-Lewin methinks.

We won't miss him.

For one, the games we have coming up we were never likely to win in - indeed, given we've looked awful with this guy playing every game, we'll probably have a better chance of coming up with something better.

Secondly, he would have been gone a month due to the AFCON anyway.

And third, the season is already realistically a write-off anyway barring the FA Cup. We'll finish mid-table-ish regardless.

We won't miss him at all. And I thoroughly disagree with your assessment of him as a 'bright spot' - he's been anything but. Now Gana, there is a bright spot.

Good God.

I really hope this is sick, sick bantz, otherwise......

I'm not his biggest fan but this isn't good news. Obviously on a human level it's never nice to see a player get a bad injury, and although I think he's been average in the main there's no doubt the lad has done some good stuff for us this season. Losing any attacking option when you're as bad as we have been is definitely a major problem. Hopefully Deulofeu can now step up and show the ability he very clearly has.

Has he slept with your missus or something?!
