Yannick Bolasie

Never understood why he's so polarizing of a player. Didn't get near enough of a chance to prove himself in blue before going out injured. Perhaps it was the fee we paid for him, but that's not his fault, nor is the injury. Excited to see him play with some fire when he comes back. Hopeful for him to prove his doubters wrong.

It is almost entirely the fee we paid.

We still think this is 2011 and we're desperately trying to find every penny that's fallen down the couch so we can afford to loan someone from leagues where they play football next to tractors.

and that reply is fine....but my point was mainly Bolasie is not a poor footballer and it's silly to write off players after so short a time...especially when young.
Depends on your definition of footballer. He's an expensive Peter Beagrie: just no end product. His time at Palace and here underlines it.

£27M down the toilet. I'm pretty certain when the dust settles on Koeman's time here we'll be looking back and scratching our heads at Bolasie.

I think Bolasie is very good but very very inconsistent.

Beagrie was ace... Especially the back flips!

I honestly dont see what he does - and that's from someone who enjoys players who can take opponents on. It;ls a mystery to me how he was allowed to throw that sort of cash at Bolasie. If it had been £10M I'd have raised an eyebrow at the quality of the player for that money...the fee paid was off the charts mad.

He'll comfortably turn out to be the biggest waste of cash in the club's history.

So inconsistent in fact, that the majority of the time he is rubbish.

30% accuracy in front of goal, that's not even testing the keeper 30% of the time, it's hitting that massive rectangle with the ball 30% of the time.

His goalscoring record is abysmal, his assists record is abysmal, he's spent the majority of his career in the lower leagues and even Crystal Palace fans weren't arsed that we took him. They were just thankful we didn't go in for Zaha who would have been an infinitely better option, younger, better and more than likely cheaper.

To be fair bolasie works hard and tracks back something which Zaha doesn't do, also he offers a physical presence which again Zaha doesn't do. Bolasie isn't a terrible player, he had some great games for palace where he was unplayable, but like you say he is inconsistent.

Alas, I think this will be proven correct.......

That's easy to say post injury though.

Oh I'm not saying we should have bought him, I'm just saying he would have been a better option from Crystal Palace than Bolasie, in an ideal world we would have had neither.
