He was average for most of the game today but in fairness he did whip in 2 or 3 great crosses in the second half and after that seemed to settle into the game.

I’m not saying he will be great for us but credit for the good stuff he did today which most of the others didn’t do

If Barkley (before he decided to leave) and 20 goal a season lukaku got dogs abuse last season on here, bolasie comingback from his long term injury has no chance.
Said it before, and been shouted down. Players read comments on line and it effects there confidence. Thierry Henry said on sky that lukaku felt the fans at Everton were never supporting him, Barkley had that half time tunnel episode when clearly his confidence was shot by the booing, and had a torrid time online. Sam Clucas of Swansea was in the guardian saying how online abuse effected him https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ics-twitter-carlos-carvalhal-fa-cup-tottenham
Joey Barton was also discussing online abuse with his podcast when he was with a psychiatrist . He was told to visualise who was giving this abuse... (single man in his 40s living with Mum, over weight, no friends, no successful career, only getting kicks from over the top abuse on the Internet).
I’m not saying that players can’t be critiqued but it shd be balanced. Bolasie hasn’t be as bad as the criticism he has got.

Out of the players you mentioned .. lukaku didn't feel supported because he and his dad used to talk about leaving every international break and used us as a stepping stone from day one. I also remeber him being cheered when his contract negotiations stalled, I also don't remeber it effecting his performances.
Barkley is so thick and fragile that he gets effected by boos that aren't even for him lol
Barton deserves a beating not just boos as he is a class A helmet

Yes he has.

I'm sure people see a different player to what I see when I watch him - he's cumbersome, awkward, tactically inept, defensively lazy, can't head a ball, can't pass a ball, can't shoot and doesn't pick his head up when he crosses a ball.

The fact he's a lovely fella makes no difference to me. He's not my most hated player because I don't hate any of them - he's just disappointing.

He us what he is, simple as that, same player he was at palace, an inconsistent player who can look brilliant one minute/game, and then like a amateur player for long periods/games.

We overpaid horribly for a player who at best should be a member of the squad not first 11 and used occasionally hoping you get those impact games from him whilst swerving the long stretches he's awful.

Often been said we have a terrible squad this year, I'm of a different opinion, think we have a very good squad overall, but a weak first 11 meaning decent squad players are playing week in week out.
