What is going to be the point of giving it to Bolasie, just so he can aimlessly hoof it into/around/over the box when we don't actually have a target man in the box to get on the end of it? DCL is about 6 stone, Sandro is 4 feet tall and Niasse...

Erm, were they?

I seem to remember his stats being pretty good and those who didn't like him arguing they were skewed because we were using him as our sole creative outlet

But that's exactly how it works? This season, Pickford has made the most saves because he is our No.1 goalkeeper, because that's his job.

He was our sole creative outlet which was blatantly wrong - seeing as, as soon as he was taken out of the equation we started playing better and winning, because the responsibility was spread across the park. It's not a coincidence.

Lukaku was our sole goalscorer - he's gone & now look what's happened. We can't score goals. We need both creativity AND goals from all around the forwards/midfield because as soon as you put it all in one basket you're buggered when they are sold/injured.

Oh, and yes his stats were terrible in regards to accuracy and conversion. Was something stupid like 20% shooting accuracy and 65%/70% passing accuracy - it was covered in the previous carnation of this thread.

Wait so when our sole creative player went we improved because it was spread round the park (" not a coincidence"), but when Lukaku leaves that's a bad thing because he was our sole goalscorer?
