I didnt say we dont have players who can play in that position, I MEANT we have nobody even half as good.

Oh and Besic is donezo here, he will be sold in Jan.

Need Barkley to sign that extension pronto.

Besic, Mirallas, McCarthy and Cuco out at a minimum in Jan.

His attitude & love towards Everton has been really heart warming. You know he just loves it here.

If he can get back to his previous tricky, pacey, powerful self, he's the best we have in a wide position comfortably.

But for me his biggest asset was his unpredictability when on the ball. Scares defenders to death & they tend to double up on him, creating space for others.

Klassen siggurdson vlasic Rooney all technically play the same position as Barkley.

Martina was cover/replacement for Coleman as he was cheap and was happy to be dropped once Coleman was fit.

Losing bolasie we gained lookman not long after and Lennon coming back was another winger technically.

What I mean is it was the centre halves, the striker , the left back that we needed to be bringing in and instead 5 of the 8 or so players were just cover/replacements for the injured players as lookman was earlier

I was not a fan of Bolasie but I wish him well and he comes back with a clean slate as far as I am concerned.

But the effects of his injury was magnified by Moonhead doing what I consider to be the most stupid thing he did among the many stupid things he did during his disastrous spell in charge at The Park.

He binned Del.

Now, you might like Del or you might not.....but I hope all of us can agree it takes a particular brand of spite or stupidity, or both, to get rid of the next wide man in the pecking order when your first choice is out for the rest of the season and beyond.

How is he doing at Barcelona?

The fact that he is there and getting game time at that club speaks volumes fir your ignorance.

And regardless of silly remarks which are as "cheap" as your "fireworks", it was sheer folly to release him when the first choice winger was ruled out for the season.

he wasn't cut out for the premier league and that's that. he was given plenty of chances.

The fact that he's up for sale in January, 20m release clause means it's not going too great, your point about moving him on when we didn't have adequate cover is spot on though

They didn't buy him to keep him. I'm confident that was never their intention, they've given him enough time on the pitch to adhere to the contract, with every intention of selling him as soon as is possible.

It's well documented they need money - it's just an easy way to make some. We, being the idiots we are let it happen and are currently reaping what we have sown.

All fair points man, I think Barca are in a better position to indulge him and his flaws for their own intentions, we weren't then and certainly aren't now good enough to carry someone that plays like a six year old, it's a huge pity cause the guy is a real talent but Emery had it spot on about him
