He's a hit and miss player, but he brings pretty much everything that we're lacking.

Needs to get his head up more but when he runs at players, not many can handle him.

The lad has been out with a really bad injury for over a year, and has played a combined two games over a busy period with no set style in terms of our attacking play and an attacking unit that is about as cohesive as the current Brexit negotiations.

Give it time.

From my reckoning, 17 of them were in the lower leagues (and the mighty Maltese Premier League) - leaving 15, 3 of which were scored in 1 game against Sunderland, leaving 12 goals in his entire Premier League career. Finding his assists statistics was tricky as lower leagues are't really recorded, but from my reckoning it's 40 assists in total. In 10 years. But hey, he can roll his studs over the ball and run fast.

Brilliant.

to be fair, i moaned this point and was gutted when i saw we were genuinely interested in him as i too knew he wasn't good enough for what we want. But his assist record for us was great before his injury, so i gave him the benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day, we hadn't had a player all season who had actually ran past their man, but he comes back and did it three times in the first half v united, so that is something we've massively lacked.

He showed that he can provide a good assist ratio if he has a good striker to link with, so there's the hope for me. Our problem is that we seem to have 5 or 6 good wingers ... but none of them have a great end product ratio.

See i see what you're saying, but getting past your man is irrelevant if you're going to do absolutely nothing with it afterwards, so makes getting past him pointless.

What was his assist ratio? 1 in 4?, 4 assists in 16 games, that would make 9/10 for the season?, with a £75m striker in front of him - what's it going to be with DCL and Niasse to aimlessly good it towards? I'd say 9/10 assists for a winger, with everything going through him with a £75m forward playing in front of him is pretty average myself.

I like him he has power and athelticism and skill, three things we badly lack right now even if his final product is erractic. He will be a threat when he's up to speed just might take a few months.

Can't wait to see him against Liverpool defense, he was decent against United but he will run rings around those idiots

Must start on Friday especially if Tosun plays.

I seem to remember when he was at palace he always played very well at Anfield against the RS.

A player to bring on tomorrow night?Perfer him at defenders with tired legs rather than being taken off after 60 mins. Maybe start with lennon.

Never agreed with a post more.

Thinks he’s immune from criticism if he puts the ball in the box.

Literally doesn’t even attempt to find a man, just chuck it in there and let the rest of them deal with it.

Kenny does it too

cant believe the attitude is so negative towards him, looked like the only player that could make something happen vs Utd in the first half. If he had a decent left back with him then maybe he wold have someone to create something better with. Maybe if he keeps sticking balls in the box we should position someone where they are likely to be and actually play to his strengths rather than him have nothing to aim for!

Not sure how you could possibly know that he thinks he's immune from criticism or that he doesn't even attempt to find a man?

We shouldn't be playing to the strengths of a winger that doesn't look up and crosses without any aim.

Rather we brought him off the bench early in the second half tomorrow night as he's not capable of playing 90 minutes yet. Better use to us against tired legs.
