2017/18 Yannick Bolasie

I understand why people cling to anything, especially in a season like this but I just can't see this fella doing anything but frustrate the living hell out of us for as long as he's here. If we were a top team I'd say he could potentially be an impact player from the bench, for the money paid we should have got so much more. But that's the case with almost all of our transfers I guess.

You are entitled to your opinion of course like I am disagreeing with you. Don't exaggerate though as it's unbefitting. Bolasie had a decent game and helped us out in an attacking sense. That is my opinion which of course is not blinkered by hatred. Who do you actually think may have done a better job on the right in an attacking sense? Who do you think would have been better in that position without becoming another defender? The first thing Lookman did when he came on was to lose the ball and I bet you said 'unlucky lad' whereas Bolasie loses the ball and it's 'useless bar steward, your crap'. Both of these players helped us on the front foot but like any winger lost the ball also. You cannot have a safe winger as they would be deemed as ineffective whereas Bolasie has a go. We are never going to agree but I see a wingers success as little as 50 - 50 with take ons and then we need a striker ready in position for a cross that may come instead of being behind play.

Yes Lookman did more. Considering it was him that played the right pass in key area of the pitch to play Jags in.

I have no doubt that if roles were reversed and Bolasie was in the same situation he would have carried the ball too far down the wing instead of coming inside and releasing it.

Its not hatred of the guy at all, by all means he seems a pretty sound fella. Doesnt mean I have to pretend hes a decent footballer. Because hes not.

So Bolasie had nothing to do with our goal? You sure? thought he was the catalyst getting the ball from defence and passing (not hoofing) the ball to Lookman.

See what you want to see. Bolasie had a decent game I thought and am not writing him off after several games after a year out. I cannot see who we have in our squad that can do a better job at the moment so who would you have in his place?

Don't overegg it mate, he played a simple ball to Lookman, who took it up the pitch, made the right decision with a good ball to Jags, who made another good decision to cut it back.

Well I wish all the team could play simple balls like that rather than the hoof. You don't want to give any credit to anyone yet say lookman give a good ball to jags and Bolasie give a 'simple' ball to Lookman. Enough said. You have done a classic overegging.

How about.. you read what you wanna read.

I said pass in a key area of the pitch! Of which Bolasie played 0 that created chances/found a teammate in a dangerous position. Lookman had the composure to get his head up.. and vitally play the right pass. Same cant be said in the last minute of the game for Mr Head Down Bolasie.

His pass to Lookman was decent enough, but not the key pass. Also see people saying Bolasie beat his man on this passage of play.. when he merely beat the player to the loose ball meaning he nicked a couple yards on him. Wouldnt call that "beating his man"
 

At this crap times as a everton fan I enjoy bolasie postivity and endeavour. It may be more about the signs of the times but I can imagine him being a very very key player next season and he will still split opinion

Every position in the Everton team can be replaced with better players and that is what a manager should be looking at all the time but priorities come first. I like Bolasie I confess but some on here are expecting Ronaldo. Even Ronaldo would get slated on here if he failed in a take on. Bolasie has played less than 20 games for us so let him be for a while. Lookman is inconsistent but shows promise. He had a decent game but no better than Bolasie in the Liverpool game. But then again that's my opinion and my opinion won't be swayed even if you start frothing at the mouth.

Ive noticed a few posters using the words 'agenda' and 'hatred' lol

Not sure if its tongue in cheek but its probably a good idea to keep your powder dry rather than going 'all out' on such a dreadful player.

Would he even get into the Palace team?

This is the same team that wants Niasse, right? Same team that starts Townsend, right? Uh, yes, he'd be starting every game.

And I know Zaha is a good player, but he's not all that.
