We are desperate for a centre half, feel it's nearing ultimatum time with this guy, time is ticking on and the amount of time it takes us to complete a transfer.......

We haven't the time for another Witsel type fiasco, same goes with Digne.

I can see Barca changing their mind every day about fees etc just seem like the type of club they are tbh.

He was bought for €12 million and despite only having been at the club for less than 6 months really, seems clear Valverde lacks trust in the player - more so now that there is plenty of depth in central defense without him. I think that ensures he is either loaned out or sold for a good fee (at least double his purchase price). I would be very surprised if he is part of the first team squad for 2018/2019 season

Personally, I found him too nonchalant the few times he played but understandably it is a difficult position to play for Barcelona and there is a learning curve

He thinks he’s a top geezer and in actual fact it’s us Southampton or Wolves in the “chase”

Time to lower your expections Yerry your a 5 looking for a 10.

See, I personally want players who aspire to play for Barcelona. I think that's a good thing.

I get where you are coming from and it's a fair point. I just want someone who is commited to sorting out the shambles at the back.
Oh for the days of peak Jags and Lescott.

IF I was good enough to play for Barcelona, I would play for Everton. :)

Is that really the issue here, though? Barca have made it quite clear that he's surplus to their requirements, so the question is simply how big of a step down is he willing to take?

If he prefers Lyon, fair enough; but Everton can't afford to wait around much longer. Not when the end result could be another season of Michael Keane.
