He looks terrible as a player and even , ,worse charcter-wise.

...possibly, but I would prefer to judge him on a run of games with Zouma. I’m not making excuses, I said beforehand he’d be the type who’d have your heart in your mouth, but he’ll need time to settle. He might be a poor signing, but I wouldn’t give up on him just yet.

I have a feeling he’s done a metatarsal and will be out for a few months.

...I thought he did well with Davidson Sanchez. It was a good blend. That’s why i’d like to see him play a run of games alongside Zouma.

He was remembered for attacking headers in the opposition box. Exactly what you look for in a defender - how he does at set pieces down the other end of the pitch.

Didn’t they play 3 at the back in the World Cup?? Like I said I can barely remember them. I think people like Mina always need an old head alongside them, a real old fashioned centre back who organises everything and his constantly talking to them.

...I think the problem with Zouma is he’s putting fires out in the space ahead of him. Full backs go missing, defensive midfielders go missing. There’s a real lack of organisation and discipline throughout the team. Once the opposition has the football we should defend as a unit. If Zouma concentrated on playing alongside his partner we’d be better.

He was hurt, too. He's going to make mistakes, but he is outstanding in the air and very good with the ball. He was clearly injured.
