...possibly, but I would prefer to judge him on a run of games with Zouma. I’m not making excuses, I said beforehand he’d be the type who’d have your heart in your mouth, but he’ll need time to settle. He might be a poor signing, but I wouldn’t give up on him just yet.

I have a feeling he’s done a metatarsal and will be out for a few months.

I thought exactly the same eggs ( metatarsal ). He had that foot injury when Bernard stood on him and for all we know he could have been playing in pain since then. The way he pulled up and went down made me think he might have done a bit of damage

I remember reading the top Barca forum about this guy and Gomes and they were all rapturous over there that they were not at the club anymore, they were in unison being delirious at the fee payed for Mina as well.

Gomes wasn't good reading either over there i should add.

Gomes showed in his first games that he is a class player, but needs better quality players and movement around him to excel. Mina has done nothing and looks like another expensive liability who will make as many mistakes as Williams, it does make you question the scouts.

Again, he's still very raw, but he's our best CB in the air and probably with his feet already. Can't help but think he makes a difference last night on set pieces. Maybe even with his feet seeing as they generated nothing from open play. He didn't do well on the first goal, but he was clearly hurt already. He still has tremendous potential.

Mina was on telly in the world cup, we should be honoured. Gomez is good when the weather is nice and nobody gets too rough. God help us.

He's come into a team that are really really poor at defending. It's hard enough adjusting to the Premier League without having to play in a team lacking any confidence or leadership. Willing to give him time and I'd be interested to see how he played under a manager who actually sets up his team to be defensilvly sound first and foremost.

Showed what he can do when the one time we actually set up our defence properly agains Chelsea. Unfortunately, when you don't have some protection from a midfield in front of you then any defender is going to have trouble.
