Only link I saw to him moving was from the paper we shall not mention.

He's still got 2 years on his deal from this Summer so can't see why the club would be rushing to tie him down. He's always played when fit so clearly the boss likes him.
2 years left, his stock is as high as it might get, and we cant risk giving him a contract extension becuase of his injury risk.
It's the perfect time to sell him, let's hope we replace in the summer

Tbf, it looked to be that groin problem. I was honestly baffled he was back so quick after the Brighton game. A groin strain is not only a week out.

He'll be out for the season now likely so gives him time to heal up before the Copa America.

City game aside I hope we go back to 4 at the back for the remaining 3 games as Holgate has to be on the bench lads a disaster waiting to happen at CB.

I like Yerry a lot, but he’s either made of glass or he has no stomach for a fight. He’s off to the treatment room quicker than Gbamin. He must have a seriously low pain threshold.
Sadly, he’d be the CB I’d sellhu

A cynic might say that he went off with the Copa in mind.

A pragmatist might say that planning to switch to four at the back for the next several fixtures, and correctly guessing that Moyes was going to go all out, is why Carlo risked Mina today instead of Doucoure.

I think we're likely to see some of Holgate at RB. No way Coleman has enough in the tank to deliver ninety vintage minutes over each of the next four fixtures.

Honestly I think we can look better going forward in a back three because it means we can push Coleman up the pitch to give us width.

But, against Villa, reckon we go with a four of Holgate, Godfrey, Keane, Digne and have Coleman to bring on. We know we can't push Seamus too much and hopefully Doucoure and James could both play v Villa.

3-4-3 for our remaining home games - it doesn't have to be a defensive formation and gets the best out of the limited options we have imo, but we'll see. Davies showed again today how useful he can be as a holding mid though. Should be in there.

Just think 3-4-3 will suit us in the home games. It pushes the wing-backs up the pitch and gives us that width, creating space for James (hopefully).

Bad news for the Villa game later this week this. Ollie Watkins will be delighted at Holgate's return. Perhaps a flat four with Keane and Godfrey with Seamus right back..
