2020/21 Yerry Mina

Rodriguez is what he is - before signing him I was saying if he's fit for 75% of games then we'd do well. If he didn't have problems with fitness, he wouldn't be coming to Everton on a free transfer. His signing has been a success, so far, IMO.

Mina is different for me. He's a centre half, and you need some continuity there. Besides, I don't think he's the best anyway - prone to attacking possession/unsettling the back four. I just don't really rate him - I'd have him starting at the moment because Holgate has been woeful this season, but I think we need another centre half coming in and all considered, particularly fitness and the need for continuity, I'd like to see Everton try and move him on.
I did say on the transfer thread that we should be selling one of Keane or Mina and bringing in a more dominant partner for Godfrey to play with, so can’t disagree with you on that.
If he wasn’t constantly injured I think I’d prefer him over Keane.

Fragile and delicate. Him and James play 1 out of 5 games
Featured in 5 of the last 8 games, James played 4 in a row and was on for 5 straight before his warm up injury 2 weeks ago

Side note Big Yerry was in our place today spending dollar on suitcases and handbags, didn’t seem to be showing any real signs of his muscle strain (not that they are obvious) so hopefully could be back for Wolves. He’s proper tall in person I gotta say

Still I prefer him to Keane, partly because of his character and to help support James too.

....I wouldn’t call him ‘delicate’. Lots of these big blokes are not good movers & are injury prone.

Found it interesting in the clip of Osman interviewing Davies, DCL & Godfrey where they all instantly said Mina is easily the strongest man at the club. I know he’s a big bloke but I didn’t think of him as physically strong given the muscle bulk of DCL & Godfrey but they suggested none of them can lift the weights he does.

He has monstrous levers ....

It was also a bit disturbing how none of them could say who was in first for training and who was last to leave by putting in the extra hours.

Really? Defence has hardly been the problem last two games. We’re missing the presence of a few midfielder/attackers who move off the ball, can dribble and commit players.
I'm not saying it would have changed the results but he seems to have a bit of fight about him something sadly lacking in our team.
Plus he's always a threat at corners, mind you I've never seen as many poor corners or crosses than we put in yesterday absolutely pathetic.
